Working capital, with the terms written out in full.
Mountain Finance funds established small businesses against what they actually take in, not against a credit score alone. You fill in the application, send three months of business bank statements, and we come back with a straight answer.
How it works
Three steps, and you can stop at any one of them.
Nothing is committed until you sign. Applying does not oblige you to take what is offered, and it does not affect your credit.

01
Tell us about the business
Who you are, what the business does, how long it has been trading and how much you are looking for. Everything is saved as you go, so a half-finished application is still there tomorrow.
-
02
Send three months of statements
Business bank statements, as PDFs, straight from your bank's site. This is the part that does the real work: deposits over three months tell us more about a business than any form can.

Get an answer you can read
If we can fund it, you get the amount, the cost and the repayment schedule in plain figures before you agree to anything. If we cannot, we say so, and we say why.
What we fund
Money for the ordinary reasons a business needs it.
Working capital
A slow month, a payroll that lands before the invoices do, a supplier who wants paying now. The everyday gap between money going out and money coming in.
Stock and equipment
Buying inventory ahead of a busy season, or replacing the machine the whole shop depends on, without waiting to save up for it.
An opportunity with a date on it
A second location, a contract that needs staffing before it pays, a bulk price that is only good this week.
Sized to the statements
There is no fixed menu of amounts. What we offer is worked out from what the business deposits, so the repayment fits the way it actually earns.
What to expect
The things worth knowing before you start.
We read deposits, not just scores
A thin credit file or a rough patch two years ago does not end the conversation. Consistent money coming through the account is the thing that carries the most weight.
Statements are the long pole
Applications wait on statements far more often than on anything else. Have three months of PDFs to hand before you start and the whole thing usually closes in a single sitting.
One person, start to finish
The person who picks up your file is the person who calls you about it. You will not be handed between desks or asked the same question twice.
Your details stay yours
Everything you enter is encrypted in transit and at rest. It is used to assess this application and to arrange funding for it, and for nothing else. We do not sell applicant data.
Plainly
What we do not do.
- —We do not charge a fee to apply, and there is no cost to finding out where you stand.
- —We do not run a hard credit check to give you an answer on an application.
- —We do not ask for a login to your bank. Statements are PDFs you send us yourself.
- —We do not quote a rate we cannot hold. What is on the agreement is what you signed up to.
Questions
The ones people ask first.
How long does the application take?
About five minutes for the form itself. Everything is saved as you go, so you can close it and pick it up later from the same link. Three months of bank statements as PDFs are the only thing you need to have ready.
Does applying affect my credit?
No. We ask for a credit score range and we do not run a hard check to give you an answer. If an offer goes ahead, the funding partner may check credit before the agreement is signed, and you will be told first.
I already have an advance outstanding. Can I still apply?
Yes. The form asks whether anything is still being paid off so we can take it into account. It does not count against you on its own.
Contact
Talk to someone before you apply, if you would rather.
Plenty of people want one question answered before they fill anything in. That is a reasonable way to start, and it costs nothing.
